FAQ

Q: How do you title poems?

A: Most of my writing is usually untitled, but after more than 15 years of writing, it was becoming hard to keep track of pieces when most of them are titled Untitled

If I do title a poem, you will see the title as eg. Name Of Poem, but if a poem was originally ‘Untitled’, I will title it with the first line of that poem with quotes, eg. ‘Roses are red…’

Hopefully this will keep confusion to a minimum when searching for a specific piece, it has already proven invaluable to my sanity :)

Q: Why is most of your writing untitled?

A: I don’t know…I guess I rarely feel the need to title or label a piece. The rare times I do have a title in mind is because the title is usually significant to the piece itself.

Q: Your writing sucks, why do you even bother?

A: If I didn’t write, you would have one thing less to troll 😛

Q: Are you depressed or something? ’cause your poetry is pretty dark, sad, and depressing…

A: I don’t think so…I sure hope not! I guess a lot of my poetry comes from a dark place but I am a pretty happy person in my opinion. For me, writing about the pain I am feeling helps me heal from that pain, and I tend to write pretty realistically about it. Happy things never seem to weigh on my soul enough or in the same way as sad things do.

Q: You are pretty vocal and opinionated with your philosophy writings, do you have a lot of people disagreeing with you?

A: If you are not being disagreed with you are not presenting anything new. I do not write for the sake of causing controversy or to garner attention (although some ignorant people may say that I do), I write cause it is a passion of mine. If I feel something needs to be said, I say it. Before I present a new point of view, or any distorted view on an already presented issue, I research thoroughly. It would be ignorance on my part if I just had my views and refused to learn about the conflicting or disagreeable view points. I believe knowledge is a means to set humanity free and I really enjoy learning, added to that is my love for debating, with all that being said, my view points do have the ability to ruffle feathers.

Q: If you could do anything else other than being in arts (film, writing, visual arts) or activism, what would you do?

A: 1. Superhero of some sort. 2. Ninja (the good kind). 3. Defenceman for the Detroit Red Wings. 4. Spy (the righteous kind) 5. Philanthropist.

Q: Your filmmaking sucks, again, why do you even bother?

A: You know, telling an artist that their art sucks really has no effect. See, a true artist, hates, scrutinizes, and criticizes their own work on a daily basis. I think in my heart I feel that my art is true and real, but specifically speaking about my filmmaking, my work was held back by a lack of budget. Perhaps if you look past the technical issues and the lack of polishing, you may see the honesty in which I made my films. And once again, if I didn’t make films, you would have another one thing less to troll 😛

About Me
In self-reflection; I can honestly say all that is good in my life has been a direct result of my artistic expression. Be it through writing poetry, prose, or philosophy, through painting or photography, or through filmmaking, art saved my life and it can save yours.
